Nursing tunics

A tunic is originally a Roman suit consisting of two pieces of fabric sewn together at the sides and on the shoulders, with or without sleeves. This made for a casual, short dress without any significant details. Today, however, the word is associated with a knee-length, loose dress, with or without sleeves – a classic model that is easily styled with a belt. At Milker, we have nursing tunics both with and without sleeves, depending on the situation.

For breastfeeding in the summer, we have some lovely styles in bamboo jersey. What characterizes a breastfeeding tunic is its loose fit, which is perfect after birth, when your body is still recovering.

Another appealing feature of the tunic is its length: it hits right above the knee, and will fit most shapes and sizes. It can also be worn with pants, where it will look more like a blouse with extra length. This is perfect if you are not that much into dresses, but still want to feel feminine. In that case, you can style the nursing tunic with a pair of jeans.

Our winter styles are also very casual, but we have spiced them up about by adding a button opening, which we feel adds just the right edge to our tunics. The nursing tunic can still be styled with a belt, for instance, if you want to steer away from the soft, snuggly look.

Apart from these options, we also have our tunics with seasonal prints. These styles are very popular with our customers, and they often sell out rather quickly.
